Managing Online Schooling

Home is a space where one seeks mental peace, but the pandemic work-from-home has turned the tables against our stability. Even children couldn't escape from this. It's been almost two years of online schooling, and now even online exams are unable to lure them away from wanting to go to school. With packed up schedules at home for all family members, all students are on their own to catch up with these tight planes. So here are some tips for our students to get in your way, fewer distractions and more productivity at work.

Create a daily planner: It is stressful to stay at home to study all five to six subjects twice a day. Your daily planner should set aside the number of school hours and the non-schooling hours. Make a list of tasks you need to accomplish for the week and prioritize your work according to deadlines and submissions. Remember that your brain should get ample rest to become more productive and needs rest too. Therefore, you must settle with short breaks in between so that you do not end up working like a machine.

Set early reminders: You surely do not want to get reminded of the task on the day of submission. Knowing your deadlines and setting reminders is the key to time management

success. Be it any work, mark it on your calendar on the first day itself and set reminders before that date according to the amount of work given. For example, if it's an evening parent-teacher meeting, then we suggest a full-day reminder for the event so you can prepare beforehand and not miss out amidst your busy schedule.

Study In Shorter Bursts: For every half an hour of school work, schedule a short 10-15 minute break to recharge. Working longer on a single task does not help to concentrate. On the flip side, it can actually cause students' minds to wander more. A short break will give the brain some time to recharge and come back more focused.

Set aside your distractions: In the end, we all want to get some 'me-time' But, be sure that this does not get stretched over your work schedule. When it's time to get down to work, let your digital pet rest for some time by switching it off or turning off the notification. This will help you minimize non-work distractions so that you can concentrate and finish your job without delays. Appoint a time limit to every task and then reward yourself with some music, snacks, or television. Maybe, give some time to your favorite activity at home?

Positive results appear when the mind is at ease and the body is at balance. Give some time to sports activities and breathe in some fresh air. Make sure you communicate with all family members and help them get refreshed too!
